Van Buren County Hospital Welcomes Dr. Sean Brodale to Rural Health Clinics
Van Buren County Hospital (VBCH) is pleased to welcome Dr. Sean Brodale, DO, to its team of healthcare providers. Dr. Brodale is now accepting appointments and will provide family medicine services at VBCH clinics in Keosauqua, Cantril and Farmington, expanding access to quality healthcare close to home.
Dr. Brodale brings more than 20 years of medical experience to VBCH, with a background in family medicine, emergency medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine.
Originally from the Salt Lake City, Utah, area, Dr. Brodale moved to the Midwest in 1995 to attend Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 1999. He completed a dual residency in Family Practice and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine in 2003.
Following his residency, Dr. Brodale and his wife operated a private medical practice in Bloomfield, Iowa, until 2016. He then spent nearly 10 years providing emergency care in the Fort Madison Emergency Department. After years of serving patients in emergency medicine, Dr. Brodale felt it was time to return to his roots in family medicine, leading him to Van Buren County Hospital.
Dr. Brodale enjoys all aspects of medicine and has a special interest in lifestyle medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT), a hands-on approach used to diagnose, treat and help prevent certain musculoskeletal conditions.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Brodale enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, who were high school sweethearts, have three children and six grandchildren, with another on the way. His hobbies include outdoor activities, hunting and target shooting.
Van Buren County Hospital operates Rural Health Clinics in Keosauqua, Birmingham, Cantril and Farmington, providing convenient access to primary care services for residents throughout Van Buren County and surrounding communities.
