Auxiliary & Volunteers

Learn about our foundation and volunteer program at Van Buren County Hospital.

VBCH Foundation

Van Buren County Hospital’s Foundation was formed to solicit and receive contributions, gifts, grants, or bequests of real or personal property from individuals, foundations, and public and private entities.

The Foundation uses the money it receives to assist Van Buren County Hospital in promoting and supporting the health care needs of Van Buren County and surrounding southeast Iowa/ northern Missouri communities.

The Foundation Board provides oversight of all Foundation activities. Members of that Board are Leslie Betts, Dave Sherod, Jeanne Erickson, Joan Syfert, and Connie Robinson.

Those seeking to make a donation to the hospital or to learn more about the Foundation’s capital campaign should contact Dave Sherod or Jeanne Erickson at 319-293-3171, ext. 310.

Van Buren County Hospital and Clinics Auxiliary/Volunteers

Our volunteers have been a key part of the success of Van Buren County Hospital, contributing time and money to fund drives, entertaining our residents, delivering mail to our patients, and offering that personal touch for which we are known. The proceeds from our annual bake sale provide scholarships for county residents to further their education in health care fields.

By sharing our time and commitment to the hospital, our volunteers make it possible for the hospital to offer “Quality Care with a Personal Touch."
