Van Buren County Hospital offers obstetric & gynecology services in Keosauqua through a partnership with Scotland County Hospital.
Services include:

STI screening and treatment

Contraception and family planning
-
Prenatal and postpartum care, including care for high-risk pregnancies

Lactation consulting and support for basic infertility concerns

Care for gynecological concerns, including colposcopies, endometrial biopsies and minor gynecological procedures

Menopause management and hormone replacement therapy
-
Care for urinary tract infections and incontinence, including pessary fittings
-
Wellness exams and cervical cancer screenings
-
Primary care for concerns such as weight management, hypothyroidism and high blood pressure
-
Care for depression and anxiety
No deliveries will occur at VBCH.
OB services will be provided up until 36 weeks gestation in Keosauqua.

<p>Lori Claypool, DO, FACOOG, NCMP, is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and holds a North American Menopause Society Certification. She is a 1990 graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and she completed an OB/GYN Residency at Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center in Kirksville, MO, and Riverside Osteopathic Hospital in Trenton, MI. She earned a BA in Biology from Cornerstone University and she is a Western Michigan University ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate. She is currently a Clinical Adjunct Assistant Professor and the Director of Student Medical Education at A.T. Still University. Her military experience includes Basic Training at Fort Dix, NJ, United States Army, 2nd Lieutenant, Academy of Health Sciences, Medical Service Corp, Fort Sam Houston, TX, and United States Army Captain, Honorable Discharge in 1997. Dr. Claypool is a native of Scottville, Michigan. She adopted twin sons from Guatemala in 1996. In her free time, she enjoys fly-fishing, knitting and making hooked rugs. She now lives in Memphis and sees patients at Memphis Medical Services. She delivers babies at Scotland County Hospital’s Women’s Center. </p>

Sonya See, WHNP
<p>Sonya See is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and a native of Scotland County. A 1989 graduate of SCR-I, she spent nearly 20 years as an obstetrics nurse before earning her advanced practice nursing degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City in 2015.</p>
<p>Sonya has a special interest in women’s wellness and gynecology, family planning, STI screening and treatment, and prenatal and postpartum care. She is also a lactation consultant.</p>
<p>In her free time, Sonya enjoys spending time with her three grown children, golfing, fishing and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.</p>
