Receptionist - Primary Location - Keosauqua
VBCH is seeking a friendly and courteous individual to join our Reception Team. Our receptionists are a vital part of the clinic team, as their faces are the first ones that our patients see and their voices are the ones that patients hear on the phone. They set the tone for the rest of the patient visit, and are responsible for making sure our patients always feel welcomed to VBCH. Candidates for this position must be a good multi-tasker, a self- starter and have excellent customer service skills.
This position is part of a team that is responsible for scheduling and registration for all areas of the hospital, and as such, the right candidate must be willing to cross train to all other registration areas within the hospital. As part of the registration process, this position is responsible for collecting correct patient information, including demographics and insurance information, as well as collecting co-payments. In addition, this position is responsible for managing all provider schedules, answering incoming telephone calls, managing patient work queues, and scanning patient information into our Electronic Medical Record system.
While this opening is primarily in our Keosauqua Clinic, the selected candidate will be required to cover in the other rural health clinics as needed. They will also be a part of our Saturday clinic rotation. This position is full-time, 72-80 hours per pay period.
