Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medication lists, allergies, and patient history

• Assist physicians, mid-level providers, and RNs with examinations and procedures

• Perform nursing duties within LPN scope of practice, including injections, wound care, catheterizations, and specimen collection as ordered

• Communicate patient information accurately through verbal communication and electronic medical record documentation

• Handle and triage patient phone calls, escalating concerns appropriately

• Perform routine and CLIA-waived testing, phlebotomy, specimen processing, and basic quality control as assigned

• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment in a clean, organized, and ready state

• Follow clinic policies, safety standards, and infection control practices

• Support quality improvement activities and clinic workflow efficiency

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Iowa

• Current CPR Certification (Healthcare Provider level)

• Mandatory Reporter Certification

• One to three years of clinical experience preferred
