Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Services
The department staff includes both registered respiratory care practitioners & registered nurses. There are three pulmonary disease educators and two who are pulmonary rehab certified.
Cardiac Rehab:
This service is for those who have had:
- a heart attack
- coronary bypass surgery
- a stent placement
- valve repair/replacement
- heart transplant
- stable angina
Pulmonary Rehab:
This service is for those who have had:
- moderate-severe chronic pulmonary disease which significantly impairs the patient's level of functioning
- impaired lung function due to COVID-19
- had a lung transplant

Education Classes Include:

- 3 treadmills
- 2 recumbent stationary bikes
- 2 NuStep T5
- 1 SciFit StepOne
- arm ergometer & other equipment in open gym area

Cardiopulmonary has moved to the Therapy and Performance Center, located in the old Village Terrace at the south end of the hospital.
