Do you love working with children and making a lasting impact every day? Van Buren County Hospital is seeking a compassionate, responsible, and enthusiastic Child Care Provider to join our growing daycare team! Help us create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children ranging in age from infants to school age.

What You'll Do:

• Supervise and engage with groups of 4–15 children in a safe and fun learning environment

• Lead or support developmentally appropriate activities (crafts, story time, sensory play, outdoor adventures!)

• Support infants and toddlers with feeding and diapering needs

• Promote positive behavior and respectful interactions

• Build relationships with families through daily updates and check-ins

• Maintain compliance with VBCH policies and DHS Child Care regulations

• Assist with field trips, walks, snack time, nap time, and more

Requirements:

• Must obtain certifications in:

  • CPR (within 6 months)

  • Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting (within 6 months)

  • Universal Precautions (within 6 months)

• Must complete orientation, annual training hours, and attend required in-services

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and actively participate in children’s activities (including outdoor play!)

• Ability to follow emergency procedures and participate in monthly drills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred, but not required

• Previous childcare experience strongly preferred

Van Buren County Hospital’s Child Care Center is currently hiring for one Full-Time Child Care Providers! These positions offer a dynamic opportunity to work with children of all ages and provide flexible support across our center’s daily schedule. Shifts are typically 10 hours and offer a great work-life balance—no nights, weekends, or holidays required.

This role includes a sign-on bonus, full-time benefits, and IPERS retirement plan eligibility. The current opening is scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
