Paramedic PRN
Van Buren County Hospital is seeking a PRN Paramedic to support our Emergency Department and ambulance services. This position provides emergency and non-emergency patient care in the Emergency Department and during prehospital ambulance responses.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency ambulance calls.
- Assess, stabilize, treat, and transport patients within the Iowa Paramedic scope of practice.
- Provide patient care and emergency interventions within the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Complete accurate and timely patient-care documentation.
- Assist with ambulance, equipment, medication, and supply readiness.
Qualifications
- Current Iowa Paramedic certification in good standing.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and PHTLS certifications.
- Valid Iowa driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to maintain required certifications and continuing education.
- EMS experience preferred.
