Clinic LPN / CMA (PRN)
Van Buren County Hospital is seeking a PRN LPN or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinic operations on an as-needed basis. This position assists providers with patient care, supports clinic workflow, and ensures efficient and accurate patient visits.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for clinic visits, including vital signs and medical history updates
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and treatments within scope of licensure/certification
- Document patient care in the electronic medical record
- Coordinate patient care, referrals, and follow-up
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
- Support patient flow and clinic operations
- Follow all clinic policies, safety standards, and infection control practices
Qualifications:
- Active LPN license in Iowa OR Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
- CPR certification (Healthcare Provider level)
- Mandatory Reporter certification (or ability to obtain)
- Previous clinic or healthcare experience preferred
Compensation:
- CMA: $20.27 – $28.00 per hour
- LPN: $23.38 – $35.00 per hour
Additional Information: PRN position with variable hours based on clinic needs. Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Employment is at-will.
