Medical Technologist (Multiple openings)
Job Duties: Perform laboratory tests in the departments of hematology, chemistry, blood banking and serology. Perform routine and special laboratory testing, recording and reporting of test results, especially critical or alert values, within an established turnaround time. Perform specimen collection, handling, processing, and testing following established procedures. Perform instrument preventive maintenance, and/or calibrations. Perform daily quality control and proficiency testing. Day/night/second shifts available with rotating weekends, holidays, and 24-hour call coverage required.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field.
Specific skills or other requirements:
- Willingness to provide 24-hour on-call coverage and to work day, night, and/or second shifts plus rotating weekends and holidays.
- ASCP, NCA, AMT, MT (AMT) or MT (HEW) certification required.
