Patient Access Manager
Van Buren County Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Manager to lead registration and scheduling operations across the organization.
This position is responsible for front-end patient access operations that directly impact patient experience, scheduling efficiency, registration accuracy, and overall revenue cycle performance. The role works closely with staff, providers, and leadership to support efficient workflows and strong operational performance.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead patient registration and scheduling operations across clinic and hospital departments
- Supervise and support patient access staff
- Ensure accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling workflows
- Support front-end revenue cycle accuracy and denial prevention efforts
- Collaborate with Revenue Cycle and clinical departments to improve operational efficiency
- Assist with scheduling templates and patient access workflows
- Support insurance-related processes and patient account functions
- Monitor workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Promote a positive and professional patient experience
Qualifications
- Associate degree, professional certification, or equivalent healthcare experience preferred
- Two or more years of experience in healthcare registration, scheduling, billing, or revenue cycle operations preferred
- One or more years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
- Working knowledge of patient access workflows and insurance processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- EPIC experience preferred
