Accounting Assistant (32 Hours/Week)
Van Buren County Hospital has a 32-hour per week opening for an Accounting Assistant in the Finance Department.
This position is responsible for data entry and processing of accounts payable, preparation of cash deposits and corresponding journal entries, and completion of account reconciliations for asset and liability accounts.
We are seeking a motivated team player who demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Prior accounting experience is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

Process and enter accounts payable transactions

Prepare cash deposits and record corresponding journal entries

Complete reconciliations of asset and liability accounts

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Assist with other Finance Department tasks as assigned
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Prior accounting experience preferred

Strong organizational and time-management skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work effectively as part of a team
