Phlebotomist
Van Buren County Hospital is seeking a dependable PRN Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team. This position is responsible for accurate, efficient specimen collection and supporting high-quality lab operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Collect blood and other specimens using proper technique and universal precautions
- Correctly label, process, and prepare specimens for testing
- Enter and verify lab orders in EPIC
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and restock supplies
- Provide a calm, professional patient experience during specimen collection
- Monitor and file reference lab results as needed
Qualifications:
- Phlebotomy training or certification preferred (not required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain confidentiality
