Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg
Van Buren County Hospital is hiring a full-time Med/Surg RN to provide exceptional care for acute and chronic patients.
The shift will have two fixed nights and one float night during the week.
Essential Functions

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for a diverse population.

Safely perform nursing procedures, administer medications, and respond to emergencies.

Educate patients and families on disease management, treatments, and discharge planning.

Document patient status and care plans in the electronic health record.

Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality outcomes.

Promote VBCH’s cultural values through professional, patient-centered care.
Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Current Iowa RN license or compact state license.

BLS certification required; ACLS required or willing to obtain.

PALS/TNCC encouraged or obtainable within one year (for cross-training to ED).

Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
