Jim was born in Hannibal and raised in Fairfied, with many memories of camping at Lacey State Park. He earned a BA in history at Coe College, and after a series of adventures across 4 states, returned to school and earned his PA degreee from Midwestern University in 2000. He joined VBCH in 2008 - 2009 in the ED, and returned in 2015 to practice family medicine.
Jim believes that modern medicine can be both helpful and downright life-saving at times, but also believes that in general the less medicine the better.
Jim enjoys his 2 dogs, motorcycles, clear writing, puttering around, occasional travels and good story telling!
