Greetings I am Dr. Millhouse. A little bit about myself. Life started in an orphanage for me. I was adopted into a wonderful family at the age of 5. My dad died at a young age so I was raised by my mother with help from her parents, and grew up most of my life in Idaho. Before Idaho I had lived some of the time in Pennslyvania. At 19 I joined the Navy, deployed a couple times, met my first wife during that time. Sadly she passed away from a pulmonary embolism while I was on my second deployment. I left the navy with an honorable discharge to pursue medicine hoping I could make a difference. I completed my undergraduate work at Lewis Clark state College in Lewiston, Idaho. It was during this time I was able to find love again, get remarried. We have 3 beautiful children. I was accepted to medical school in Arizona at AT STILL School of Osteopathic Medicine completing that in 2019, and came to Kirksville MO for my Family Medicine Residency, completing that in June of 2024. Rural communities are my preference as I prefer the slower, more peaceful setting of life rather than the hustle and bustle of bigger cities which I have lived in. My top priority is my family. My interests include family medicine, hospice/palliative medicine, medical care for veterans as I am a veteran myself, as well as both hospital and clinical medicine. My hobbies include spending quality time with good friends, listening to music, playing piano, dancing, writing stories, reading, watching new movies in the theater, traveling, spending time by the water such as a lake or a river, and enjoying sunsets and sunrises. I look forward to connecting with this community and connecting my family to this community. I hope to build bridges, collaborate with people to improve their physical and mental health, partnering withthem to provide the best care I can give as we share this in these special moments during this beautiful journey we call life.
Dianne received her Masters in Nursing from Clarkson College in Omaha NE. She has been a family nurse practitioner for the past 24 years. She and her husband farm in Davis County and love the rural environment as their home. She provides care for all ages. She is certified as a DOT Examiner. While family practice provides care for a wide variety of health care, she has a special interest in diabetic care.
Dr. Brecount is a Family Practice physician that treats patients of all ages. She offers women’s health, pediatrics and osteopathic manipulative. She grew up in Houghton area and is happy to be caring for the community.
I am a Virginia girl, born and raised. I grew up in Chesterfield County and graduated from Manchester High School. My mother still lives in my childhood home as my father passed away in 2021. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. Magna Cum Laude. I attended the University of Virginia Medical School and graduated with my MD in 1999. I completed my family medicine residency training in 2002 at Penn State Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon, PA. I worked for Carilion Clinic starting in July 2002 in Rocky Mount, Virginia and left in March 2025 to pursue opportunities in locum tenens work through CompHealth.
I became a doctor because of the influences that happened to me as a child. My mother had open heart surgery when I was 8 years old. I was fascinated with what happened to her and I wanted to know the details. She took me to meet her cardiologist, Dr Holland, several months later. I still remember that day and the details of his office and our conversation. I was hooked. I knew then that I wanted to be a doctor. During medical school, I took many elective rotations during my 4th year, and it was then that I figured out that I wanted to be a family doctor.
Growing up so close to a large city, I knew that I did not want to live in a place where I was just a name or a number. I wanted my children to grow up in a small town, so I chose Rocky Mount. I wanted them to see how a small town can provide one the best in life. My sons, Nicholas and Jacob, got to experience that firsthand when we went through a tragic event in our lives 8 years ago with the loss of our home. Our home burned to the ground and so many people in our community came to help us. We were so grateful for everything that people provided us. My sons continue to live in the area as my oldest is now married and has 3 children.

My favorite part of working at VBCH is the people--both our patients and the staff. I have worked here almost 7 years now, and I am not from Van Buren County. With that being said, I feel I have quickly gotten acquainted with the wonderful people of this community.
